General
What is AgenPembantu.com?
AgenPembantu.com places housekeepers, baby sitters, nannies, drivers, gardeners and non-medical elderly caregivers with families, along with operational staff for companies, such as office drivers, office boys/girls (OB/OG), sales promoters (SPG/SPB), ushers, receptionists and hourly nannies for events. We're a business unit of PT Arion Global Care. We find and screen candidates, help you all the way to placement, and stay involved after the worker starts.
Is AgenPembantu.com the employer of the workers it places?
No. The employment agreement is made directly between you and the worker, and it covers salary, working hours and days off. Our role is to recruit, screen and place workers, then help with monitoring, mediation, evaluation and replacement under our service terms.
Which areas do you cover?
All of Indonesia. Candidates from different regions can travel to the city where you live. Placement fees and how long the process takes can vary by location, and we explain both during the consultation. Some cities have their own page under service areas.
How are candidates screened and verified?
We interview every applicant, check their identity documents, and run a screening suited to the role (for drivers, for example, we also check their driver's license and driving experience). The results determine the candidate's Grade, and for certain roles we can ask for a health certificate or a police clearance certificate (SKCK).
After that, you still interview the candidate yourself, in person or by video call.
What do the Silver, Gold and Platinum Grades mean?
A Grade is the skill level we've verified for a candidate, rising from Silver to Gold to Platinum. A higher Grade usually means more experience or extra skills, such as basic foreign language ability at Platinum. The Grade also affects the placement fee.
How long does it take from consultation to the worker's first day?
It depends on the role, your criteria and the location, so we give you an estimate during the consultation. Very specific requirements, such as a particular foreign language, usually take longer to fill. If your date is fixed, for example a baby's due date, we suggest starting your search about a month ahead.
Can I see candidate profiles before the consultation?
Yes. Summary profiles of candidates who have passed screening are on the Ready Workers page, including their role, experience, Grade and languages. Full names and contact details are only shared during the placement process. If someone catches your eye, mention their candidate code when you fill in the hiring form.
For families
What's the difference between a housekeeper, a housekeeper with childcare, a baby sitter and a nanny?
A housekeeper (ART) looks after the house, while baby sitters and nannies focus on the children. A baby sitter usually cares for babies up to age two, and a nanny for children from about two to the early primary years. A housekeeper with childcare does both, which works when your child is fairly independent and the housework isn't too heavy.
Is it better to have live-in or live-out help?
Live-in suits you if you have a staff room and often need help early in the morning or at night. Live-out works better for apartments or houses without staff quarters, as long as the worker doesn't live too far away. A live-in worker needs a room, meals and clear rest hours, and all of that is best written into the employment agreement.
Can I interview candidates by video call?
Yes. Many of our candidates travel from other cities, so the first interview is often by video call. It also helps if you're arranging care for a parent who lives in a different city. If possible, ask a relative who lives near the workplace to meet the candidate too.
Can I book a nanny for just a few hours?
Yes, through our hourly & event nanny service. Families usually book it while they attend a wedding, a meeting or another event that's hard to manage with children, including during a hotel or villa stay. The rate depends on the length of the booking, the number and ages of the children, the location and the timing, and we explain it during the consultation.
Can an elderly caregiver carry out medical procedures?
No. Our elderly caregivers are non-medical, so they don't give injections, insert IV lines or catheters, or change medication doses. They help with daily needs such as bathing, meals, walking and medicine reminders. If your parent needs clinical care, bring in a licensed nurse or health professional.
What should I prepare before the worker starts?
Get a room ready if the worker will live in, along with a daily task list and the house rules that matter to your family. Write down working hours, breaks and days off, and keep emergency numbers somewhere easy to see. The first two or three weeks are a settling-in period, so make time for short check-ins about what's working. Our article 5 things to check before you hire a housekeeper covers this in more detail.
For expats
Do you have candidates who speak English or Mandarin?
Yes, although there are fewer of them than candidates who speak only Indonesian. We record each candidate's language level on their profile, and the interview can be held in that language so you can judge for yourself. Browse English-speaking or Mandarin-speaking candidates, or mention your language needs at the consultation.
Can everything be arranged before I arrive in Indonesia?
Yes. The consultation can happen over WhatsApp or by phone, candidate interviews by video call, and the start date can be set around your arrival. More information for foreign families and companies is in our guide for expats.
Do you cover villas in Bali, including Canggu?
My villa is also rented out. Can household staff look after guests too?
Yes, as long as it's clearly agreed from the start. Spell out in the employment agreement when the worker looks after guests and when they look after your household, so the workload and rest hours stay reasonable. If the villa has guest areas, a live-in worker's room is best kept separate from them.
Which working customs might differ from my home country?
The things that most often need discussing are religious holidays and THR, the holiday allowance customary in Indonesia. Many workers go home to their villages for Lebaran (Eid al-Fitr), while staff in Bali may take time off for Nyepi or Galungan, so agree on leave dates and return plans well ahead. Employers also commonly provide a room and meals for live-in staff. Just ask if anything is unclear, and we'll tell you what's typical in your city.
Companies & events
Which roles are available for companies?
For companies and event organizers, we provide office drivers, office boys/office girls, receptionists, sales promoters (SPG/SPB), ushers and hourly nannies for kids corners at events. Send the role, headcount, location and period through the partnership form.
What is an hourly or event nanny?
A nanny booked by the hour to look after children during an event, such as an office family day, a wedding reception, a family gathering, a seminar, or a guest's stay at a hotel or villa. She supervises play in the kids corner, sits with the children at mealtimes, helps toddlers to the toilet and hands each child back to their parents. Families can book one for private occasions too. See the hourly & event nanny page for details.
How much does an hourly nanny cost?
We don't publish the rate on the site because it depends on the length of the booking, the number and ages of the children, the location and the timing of the event. Send us the rough details of your event, and we'll explain the rate in a free consultation before you decide. For events with lots of children, we'll also help you estimate how many nannies you need.
Does the replacement guarantee apply to hourly nanny bookings?
The one-time replacement guarantee within 90 days applies to worker placements, not to hourly bookings. For an hourly nanny, the terms, including duties, hours and what happens if the schedule changes, are agreed for each booking before the event.
Can we book several people at once or for several locations?
Yes. Send the headcount for each role, the list of locations and the start dates through the partnership form, and we'll let you know candidate availability at each location. Your HR team still interviews the candidates before choosing, and the employment agreement is made directly between the company and the worker.
Can we hire staff for just a few days, for example an exhibition?
Yes. Arrangements can be daily, weekly or long-term, as agreed. For short events such as exhibitions or product launches, lock in your dates and venue early so we can confirm the availability of sales promoters, ushers or nannies, especially toward the end of the year and in wedding season.
Fees & guarantee
How much is the placement fee?
The placement fee is a one-time payment to AgenPembantu.com. The amount varies, mainly with the candidate's Grade and the placement location. We give you the exact figure during a free consultation, before you commit to anything.
Who decides the worker's salary?
You and the worker agree on it, and you pay the salary directly to the worker. As a guide, a live-in housekeeper in Greater Jakarta typically earns Rp2.5–3.5 million a month, or Rp3–4 million if childcare is part of the job. For other roles and cities, we'll give you an idea during the consultation.
What is the Workforce Care Membership?
An optional support plan for Rp500,000 a month. It includes monitoring, mediation if problems come up, consultations, evaluations, hotline access and priority for replacements. You can still use our placement service without it.
How does the replacement guarantee work?
If the arrangement ends within 90 days of placement, we'll find you a replacement once. This applies as long as the service terms have been met and the arrangement didn't end through negligence on your part. We go through the details during the consultation, and they're set out in the service agreement.
How does a replacement work if the worker leaves or isn't a good fit?
Contact our team and tell us what happened. We check whether the guarantee terms are met, then look for a replacement candidate whom you interview again, just like the first time. If the issue can still be talked through, we can help with mediation first. Workforce Care Membership subscribers get priority for replacements.
Is the consultation free, and are there hidden costs?
The consultation is free and there's no obligation. We explain every cost, meaning the placement fee and the optional membership, before you decide, so there are no hidden charges. The worker's salary is separate from our fees and is paid directly to the worker.
Is the placement fee different in Bali or outside Java?
It can be, because the placement fee depends on the location as well as the candidate's Grade. Waiting times for locations outside Greater Jakarta can also be longer. We give you the figures and an estimated timeline for your city openly during the consultation.
Contracts & legal
Which agreements are signed for a placement?
There are three. The service agreement between you and PT Arion Global Care covers our services, fees and guarantee. The employment agreement between you and the worker covers salary, duties, working hours and days off. The worker also has a partnership agreement with PT Arion Global Care.
What should the employment agreement with the worker include?
At a minimum: both parties' details, the main duties, the salary and payday, working hours and breaks, days off and leave, the facilities provided, and how either side can end the arrangement. One or two pages is enough, as long as both of you understand it before signing.
What about days off, holiday leave and THR?
All of these are best agreed at the start and written into the employment agreement. Weekly days off, annual leave and religious holidays such as Lebaran, Christmas or Nyepi are discussed directly between you and the worker. THR, Indonesia's customary holiday allowance, is usually discussed before Lebaran or another major holiday, and the amount and timing are set in the employment agreement. For the rules currently in force, always check the latest employment regulations.
Can I keep the worker's original documents, such as their ID card or certificates?
No. Original documents such as the ID card (KTP), school certificates and bank book belong to the worker and must not be withheld. You're welcome to keep a photocopy or photo for your records. This is also one of the client's obligations under our service agreement.
How are my personal data and the worker's data protected?
We process personal data in line with Indonesian law, including Law No. 27 of 2022 on Personal Data Protection. Data is used only to provide the service, shared only as needed with the people involved in a placement, and never sold. The details are in our Privacy Policy.
What happens if there's a dispute with the worker?
Most problems can be resolved by talking things through once everyone has calmed down. Our team can help keep communication open on both sides, and mediation is included for Workforce Care Membership subscribers. If no agreement can be reached, the matter follows the terms of the agreements and the applicable laws of Indonesia.
For workers
How do I sign up as a worker partner?
Fill in the form on the Join Us page or send us a message on WhatsApp. Our team will contact you for a first interview and tell you which documents to prepare, such as your ID card (KTP) and family card (KK). If you have questions about registration or test fees, please ask our team directly.
What is Arion Star?
An award for worker partners who complete a full year with the same employer. It comes with a Rp1,000,000 appreciation bonus and a prize-draw coupon. Arion Star is separate from the Grades (Silver, Gold, Platinum), which show a worker's verified skill level.
Which documents do applicants need?
Usually your ID card (KTP), family card (KK), a passport photo, a health certificate, and a police clearance certificate (SKCK) or driver's license depending on the role. Your latest school certificate and any training certificates are useful too, since we note them on your profile. Bring photocopies and keep the originals yourself.
Do applicants have to pay any fees?
Our team will tell you about any registration or screening test fees directly, so please ask before you take the test. Once you're placed, your salary is agreed with and paid directly to you by the client. Be careful with anyone who promises a high salary without explaining the job or asks for your original documents.
Will my original documents be held?
No. We never hold on to original documents, and clients aren't allowed to either. For the check, we only need to see the originals to verify them, then keep a photocopy or photo for our records.
Is there any training before I start work?
Yes. Before placement, worker partners get a briefing on work ethics, core duties and how to communicate with the family or company they'll work for. Once you've started, you can still contact our team if problems come up. Read our guide on how to prepare as a worker partner too.
Still have questions?
Ask our team directly. We'll walk you through our services, fees and the placement process.
