Housekeepers, baby sitters, nannies, drivers, gardeners and elderly caregivers for families in and around Bali.
Running a home in Bali is not quite like anywhere else in Indonesia. Many homes here are villas with a garden, a pool and several bedrooms, owned by Balinese families, people from Java or foreigners who have stayed for years. Some expat families have children in school here, some remote workers rent a villa for a year, and some retirees have decided to settle for good.
The most common request is for villa staff: a villa housekeeper for cleaning and laundry, a gardener for tropical gardens that grow fast, and a driver who knows Bali's narrow, busy roads. Families with young children usually add an English-speaking nanny, while retirees often need a non-medical elderly caregiver.
One thing to decide early is live-in or live-out. Live-in staff need their own room, meals and clear rest hours, separate from guest areas if the villa is also rented out. Live-out staff suit smaller villas, as long as they live nearby. Agree on holidays too, including Nyepi and Galungan for Hindu staff, and Lebaran or Christmas for staff from other islands.
We have separate pages for Canggu, Denpasar, Sanur and Kuta, and we also cover Ubud, Jimbaran, Nusa Dua and the rest of the island. Candidates come from Bali and other parts of Indonesia. You agree on the salary directly with the worker, and we explain the placement fee for Bali in a free consultation. If you're new here, read our guide for expats first.
